Shazalynn Cavin-Winfrey, owner and lead designer, has had a lifelong passion for design that has taken her from growing up in the Southwest to settling in the Northeast. For over 25 years she’s honed her craft, building on what she learned at the University of Texas, the Culinary Institute of America, and Parsons School of Design. From her experience running her own catering company, as a mother and wife, and as a highly recognized designer, she’s come to believe that a centered home is the key to a rewarding life.
Taylor Moore, lead designer at SCW grew up in Arizona before making her move to Texas to study design at the University of Texas School of Architecture, graduating with a BS in Interior Design. Taylor grew up with a talented father trained as an architect and brilliant mother who taught her the value of good design and appreciation for beauty. Beginning her early design career in NYC she worked in retail design & hospitality design before transitioning to residential. A broad range of experience gave her a varied skill set to create. Taylors passionate vision for interiors is second to her love for Poppy, our favorite office dog.
Laura Covert came to SCW with a passion for interiors and is responsible for daily operations. Laura is a graduate of The University of Texas where both her daughter and son also attended and a lifelong Austinite.
Jenny Butterworth grew up in Midland, Texas with Shazalynn before they attended The University of Texas together. Jenny is a natural born athlete who played golf for the University before working professionally and then becoming a mother to two very active boys. When Jenny is not managing details at SCW you can find her chasing one of her many dogs, at the driving range or continuing to enjoy the wonderful things that Austin has to offer.
