IN PRAISE OF THE PALOMA
My first Paloma was with a very fun friend visiting from the United Kingdom. Ok, we had too many Palomas that day while dining at Tesuque Cafe, my favorite restaurant outside of Santa Fe. I was mesmerized by all the squeezing of fresh fruits into a tall glass jar and that amazing coral pink color only grapefruit can provide.
I was not sure if it was the company that made the drink so great or if I had just fallen in love with tequila for the first time. I now know it was both! I am on spring break this week with my fun family marking the beginning of warmer, longer days and my favorite time of the year. I got a jump start on Paloma season when the temps hit 60 last week and my sweet friend fell in love for the first time, too. So much so that she sent me these pics and asked me to share them with you!
Raise your glass in praise of the Paloma. Life is good. Time is short. Go out and make memories with all those you love.
